There are many benefits for drinking water: help flush out the system, maintain the balance of fluids in your body, and yes, it can even help you lose weight. Just think of how much money you have spent on weight loss drugs and books that boast of diet regimens, when you could have just drunk a glass of crystal clear water. Most people already know that drinking water is much more preferable to sodas and other high-sugar drink, but the advantages are so much greater. Remember old biology lessons? Your teachers all say that most of the contents of your body is water. Keeping yourself hydrated will improve your general health. To be healthy, you have to be at a weight normal for your age and height, and your metabolism is chugging along as normal. By drinking water, you allow your cells to eliminate waste together with the "old water". It's like changing oil for your car. Like your car, your body will be a lot more efficient when you have fresh, clean water. The water can also wash out your fat deposits, along with toxins and other wastes from your body. Additionally, it will clean your kidneys and help it function more effectively. Water stimulates, hydrates, improves, and flushes your digestive system as well. Speedy digestion and excretion of wastes is the key to preventing fats from lodging themselves in your body.
You can calculate how much water you need to drink through this formula: get your body weight and divide it into two. Attach "ounces" to that number, and voila! You have the optimal amount of water that your body should receive each day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink 75 ounces of water. It may seem like much, but the truth for some people is, if they're not drinking water, they're eating because the thirst signal and the hunger signal are very similar. Studies show that the average American is overweight and lacking in water. If you really want a healthier body, you have to make certain sacrifices. Your favorite sugar-filled soda can't do the benefits that water can. Sometimes, it can't even quench your thirst! Water is the miracle weight loss "drug", but it's safe, healthy, and completely natural. Most drugs can't claim that. |
